As a husband and wife team we have a long and varied sporting history.
Between us we have been:
- Australian representatives
- raced ironman and all distances of triathlon
- won gold paddling in the Masters Games
- raced long distance ocean outriggers
- run marathons, ultra marathons and multi-day endurance events.
In 2008 we ran the 23rd Marathon des Sables in Morocco as the first challenge in our "hurt2help", not-for-profit fundraising scheme. As well as huge personal achievement for us we were ecstatic to have raised over £6000 for Facing Africa!
This blog will trace our desert training from the heat and sand of our Saudi Arabian home to the top of the world as we compete in the the TransAlpineRun of 2010 raising funds once again for Facing Africa.
